This is the most common reason.
If your projects were stored in the cloud, they may still be there, but under a different Linearity account.
If you’ve ever:
signed in with Apple,
signed in with Google,
used a different email address,
or changed your email over time,
It’s worth checking whether you’re currently logged into the same account you originally used.
How to check:
Open Profile in Linearity Curve.
Note the email address displayed.
Search your inbox for emails from Linearity to see which email address received them.
Sometimes users discover they accidentally created a second account using another sign-in method.
If you were working as a guest (without creating a Linearity account), what happens next depends on how you signed in.
You created a new Linearity account: your local projects are automatically transferred to the new account.
You signed in to an existing account: the app displays a warning that your local guest files will be removed before switching to the existing account.
Projects stored only on your device are not uploaded to Linearity’s cloud automatically.
This means:
we can’t access them,
we can’t restore them,
and we can’t recover them if they’re removed from the device.
If you’re unsure where your files were stored, check the Files app on your iPad or iPhone and search for .curve files.
If Linearity Curve was deleted from your device, OS may also remove the application’s local storage.
Unfortunately, this behavior is controlled by Apple’s operating system and is outside of Linearity’s control.
Linearity always asks for confirmation before deleting files.
Deleting individual files requires confirmation and clearly states that the file will be permanently removed.
Deleting a project also requires confirmation.
After deletion, the project enters a 30-day recovery period, during which it can be restored before being permanently deleted.
Unfortunately, no.
Please check:
Are you signed in with the correct email address?
Have you searched your inbox for emails from Linearity to verify which account you used?
Have you searched your device for .curve files using the Files app?
Did you recently delete and reinstall the app?
ere you previously working without a Linearity account?
If you’ve gone through these steps and still can’t find your files, contact us and include:
the email address shown in your Linearity Profile,
any other email addresses you may have used,
your device model,
and a description of what happened before the files disappeared.
This information will help us investigate your case as thoroughly as possible.
