Can't find your files

If your files have disappeared, they are most likely still there, just linked to a different Linearity account. Here's how to track them down.

Why Files Go Missing

Files in Linearity are tied to the specific account they were created in. This means if you sign in with a different account than the one you used before, your files won't be visible. This commonly happens when:

  • You created accounts using different sign-in methods: for example, once with Google and once with email, even using the same address

  • You signed in with a different email than usual

  • You have multiple Linearity accounts across different emails and don't remember which one your files are in

Step 1: Check Your Inboxes for Linearity Emails

Search your email inboxes, including your Apple ID inbox if you ever used Sign in with Apple, for any emails from Linearity. The address the email was sent to will tell you which email is linked to a Linearity account. Try signing in with that email and check if your files are there.

Step 2: Search Your Device for Local Files

If your files were saved locally, search your device for files with the following extensions:

  • .curve

  • .vectornator

These files can be opened directly in Linearity Curve.

Step 3: Contact Support

If you've tried the above and still can't locate your files, get in touch with our support team. Let us know which emails and sign-in methods you may have used and we'll help you track down your account.

Why did my files disappear?

We know how stressful it is to open Linearity Curve and discover that your projects are missing. Fortunately, files don’t disappear randomly. In almost every case, there’s an explanation that can help narrow down what happened.
