How cloud sync works across your devices

Files in your Linearity account sync automatically across all your devices. Here's how it works and what to do if files aren't appearing.

Files you create in Linearity are stored in your Linearity account and sync automatically across all the devices you're signed in to.

How it works

When you sign in to Linearity Curve or Move on any device — iPhone, iPad, or Mac — with the same account email, your files appear automatically. There is no manual sync or export step required.

Making sure sync is working

If your files aren't appearing on a device:

  1. Check you're signed in with the same account. Open the Profile tab on each device and confirm the email address is the same. Files are tied to the specific account they were created in — signing in with a different email will show a different (empty) library.

  2. Check your internet connection. Sync requires an active connection. Open and close the app once your connection is restored.

  3. Force close and reopen the app. This triggers a fresh sync on launch.

Files stored locally vs in your account

When you use Linearity as a guest (without signing in), files are stored locally on your device only. They won't appear on other devices and won't sync. To move local files to your account, create a Linearity account — your guest files will be migrated automatically. See Using Linearity as a guest user for more.

iCloud

Linearity uses its own cloud storage, not iCloud. iCloud settings on your device do not affect Linearity file sync.

Still missing files?
